Albertus Magnus College has rolling admissions, meaning there is no fixed admissions deadline. Students typically begin applying during the fall of their senior year; however, we accept applications through the summer.

Financial Aid Priority Packaging – February 28
Scholarship deadline – March 15

An interview is not required as part of your application to Albertus, but sometimes the admissions team will request one if they need a little more information. It’s a chance for us to get to know you as a person, not just a transcript and some test scores and a chance for you to get to know the College.
On average, students receive their decision letter within four weeks of completing their application. We suggest checking your email and  to see if you are missing any items once you have applied. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Admissions.
Yes, with a score of a 3 or higher on the AP test administered by the College Board. For IB higher level exams, scores of 4 or higher are accepted for credit. Any individual credits transferred may be applied as elective credits.
Albertus is test optional for an admissions decision. However, we do use SAT or ACT scores for placement purposes. Upon acceptance, students may submit scores via the Official  and enter Albertus’ code: 3001. To submit ACT scores go to the Official  and enter Albertus’ code: 0549.
Ask your school counselor if you qualify for an application fee waiver. If none is available, ask her or him to contact the Office of Admissions at (800) 578-9160.
Yes, we do. We use first quarter or trimester or mid-year grades in the decision process. It is also important to maintain strong grades through the end of your senior year. We reserve the right to rescind an offer of admission due to poor academic performance in the senior year.
Yes, Albertus has an Honors Program. Placement into the program is made using a holistic review including SAT/ACT scores. Qualified entering students are assigned to special honors classes, access to cultural opportunities and experiences and receive an additional scholarship.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Life on Campus

Yes. All students are allowed to bring a car to campus after registering it with the Student Services department. Albertus students may also use the Yale Shuttle Bus, free of charge, to get around New Haven.
Yes. Albertus students are guaranteed on campus housing for all four years. We have different types of housing to choose from including three renovated mansions. Housing preferences for new students are sent to the Director of Student Affairs after sending in his or her deposit.
Having your own computer is helpful, but not a necessity. 100% of our campus is wireless and each academic building is equipped with computer work stations.
Albertus is a very safe campus. Security Officers conduct regular foot and auto patrols of all campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas 24 hours a day. Access to academic buildings and residence halls is controlled either by locked entrance doors or the card access system.
Albertus has the advantage of a small close-knit campus community within a city setting. Getting involved in our different clubs and organizations is one way to keep yourself busy.
